Woodland Travel

Privacy Policy

Effective September 17, 2026

Woodland Travel (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a family-owned travel agency located at 101 Monte Vista Dr, Woodland, CA 95695, and a member of Exquisite Travel Group. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.woodlandtravel.net (the “Site”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It also serves as our Notice at Collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”).

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you submit our inquiry form you provide your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, destination, travel plans, how you heard about us, the advisor you’d like to work with, and whether you’d like to receive our newsletter. If you call or email us, we keep the details of that conversation to help plan your trip.

Information collected automatically. If you accept analytics and advertising cookies, Google Analytics 4 (property G-4TDW26KWD5, loaded directly and via Google Tag Manager) collects your device type, browser, approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages you view and how you reached the Site, and the Meta Pixel (Pixel ID 1974416149465001) records the pages you view and actions you take, such as submitting an inquiry, so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising and show you relevant ads. If you decline, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, neither tool is activated and none of this is collected.

Information we do not collect on this Site. We do not collect payment card details, passport or government identification, or other sensitive personal information through the Site. Those are handled directly with your advisor when you book, under the terms and privacy notice provided at that time.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and plan your travel.
  • To send you a confirmation that we received your inquiry.
  • To send our newsletter, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve it (analytics, with your consent).
  • To comply with law, including the California Seller of Travel Law (our registration is CST#2018558-40).

We do not sell your personal information. If you accept advertising cookies, the Meta Pixel and Google advertising tags may use information about your visit for cross-context behavioural advertising, which the CCPA treats as “sharing.” You can opt out at any time — see sections 4 and 6.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and with travel suppliers as needed to arrange your trip. Service providers used by this Site:

  • Vercel, Inc. — hosts the Site and runs the form-processing functions (United States).
  • Resend, Inc. — delivers your inquiry to us by email and sends your confirmation (United States).
  • Google LLC — Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, property G-4TDW26KWD5 (only after you accept cookies), and Google Fonts, which loads typefaces from Google’s servers.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — the Meta Pixel (Pixel ID 1974416149465001), which loads only after you accept cookies and measures our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta may match your activity with your Meta account if you have one; see Meta’s privacy policy. For California visitors we apply Meta’s Limited Data Use setting whenever you have not accepted cookies.
  • Supabase, Inc. — stores our public advisor directory, which the Site reads to display advisor profiles. No visitor information is written to it.
  • Unsplash, Inc. — serves photography on the Site; your browser requests images from its servers.

Once you become a client, your advisor will share the details needed to complete your booking — such as your name, contact details and traveller information — with airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators and insurers. Each supplier’s own privacy policy applies to the information it receives. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Cookies, analytics and Global Privacy Control

The Site uses a cookie banner. Until you choose Accept All, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics run in a consent-denied state and set no analytics or advertising cookies, and the Meta Pixel is not loaded at all. If you accept, Google Analytics stores cookies for up to 13 months to recognise repeat visits and the Meta Pixel sets its own cookies under Meta’s privacy policy. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage. You can change it at any time using , which reopens the banner, or by clearing the Site’s data in your browser.

Global Privacy Control. We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information under the CCPA (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.135(b); 11 CCR § 7025). When your browser sends GPC, we automatically withhold consent for analytics and advertising through Google Consent Mode, do not load the Meta Pixel, apply Meta’s Limited Data Use setting, and do not show the cookie banner — the signal takes precedence over any earlier acceptance in that browser. No further step or identity verification is needed. GPC applies to the browser and device sending it, so enable it on each one you use; learn how at globalprivacycontrol.org. If you also have a relationship with us (for example, you submitted an inquiry) and want the opt-out applied to information we hold offline, contact us using the details in section 10.

Do Not Track. “Do Not Track” is an older browser setting with no agreed technical standard, and the Site does not respond to it in any particular way. We recommend Global Privacy Control instead.

5. How long we keep information

Inquiry emails are kept in our mailbox for as long as needed to plan your trip and for up to three years afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case records are kept for the period required by the California Seller of Travel Law and our accounting obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months.

6. Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we have shared it with.
  • Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising occurs only if you accept advertising cookies; opt out at any time by choosing Decline in the banner, using Manage Cookie Preferences in section 4, or enabling Global Privacy Control. We will not ask you to verify your identity to opt out.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, email info@woodlandtravel.net or call +1.530.662.5491. We will confirm your identity by matching the details in your request against the information we hold, and respond within 45 days. You may designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf; we will ask the agent for proof of your written permission.

7. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Traveller information for minors on a booking is provided by their parent or guardian.

8. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted to our servers and to our email provider. Access to our mailbox and systems is limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission is completely secure; if you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above. Material changes will also be noted on the Site’s home page for 30 days.
